What You Need Before Heading To The Golf Course
Before you head out to any golf course, you should be prepared in every manner possible. The first way to do this is by dressing appropriately. Wearing the correct golf attire shows that you have respect for the people in charge of and working at the course as well as for the game itself.
What To Wear
For men, a standard outfit consists of a collared shirt and either dress shorts or slacks. For women, it is typical to wear a collared shirt as well, or any type of sports jacket along with a golf skirt or a pair of long dress pants. In terms of shoes, golfer shoes would be best, but it is not required.
Your Clubs
Once you have completed you wardrobe look, you will want to prepare your golf bag with an adequate amount of clubs, ranging from woods to putters and everything in between. Usually, the most clubs that you can have in a bag is 14, but 7 should be enough, especially if you are a beginner. Do not worry about having too many golf balls to use, as mostly all courses have buckets of range balls for you to use - just make sure to return them or you can get into trouble with the workers. It would also come in handy to bring a golf glove with you as well as a large amount of tees. In addition, you also need a bag tag in order to identify what is yours, a ball marker so that you can be consistent in your markings, and of course a first aid kit in case of any accident that may occur on the course.
What Else You Should Bring
Although you do not want to overload your golf bag with items, it would be wise to carry a few other items for leisure, including a speaker for music or a couple of pieces of technology to help you improve your game, such as a swing analyzer that can be as simple as installing an app on your phone. Last but not least, you need to bring cash with you for obvious reasons. There will be beverage stands or places to buy snacks, food items, drinks, things of that nature and you do not want to be starving throughout your time golfing as it will definitely affect your game for the worse.
As soon as you have these items, you are pretty much all set to head out to the golf course and enjoy the day working on your swing. Enjoy!
